About the event

Emissions data has become a critical input for global trade. Pricing, procurement, reporting and deal-making now depend on carbon figures held to a standard of accuracy that would have seemed unthinkable a few years ago. Traders are quoting carbon upfront, and banks continue to weigh emissions in their lending and credit decisions. The suppliers ahead of the curve are either getting their data right early or investing in low-carbon production, while most are still overwhelmed by the reporting burden. European importers already know what it means to live with EU CBAM and the momentum it has built over the past year. UK CBAM is right behind it, and there has never been a more urgent moment to price carbon into a metals deal.Businesses need visibility into their carbon exposure before contracts are signed and transactions close.

It is why we are seeing the rise of the carbon-intelligent organisation: businesses working to simplify how they collect, share and scale carbon data across the regulations and commercial demands now bearing down on them. The UK CBAM Readiness Forum brings industry, policy and verification into one room for a full day, weeks before the regime takes effect on 1 January 2027.

It is a working session which explores: what the rules mean, what they will cost, and what to do about it before go-live.
‍
Sessions will include:
‍

  • Updates directly from HMT & HMRC
  • Executive panel discussion: How companies are preparing for UK CBAM
  • Importance of verification
  • Sector deep dives, and breakout sessions for both executives and day to day operators
